We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who can ensure stable, accurate, and professional payroll processes, and who thrives in a collaborative environment with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

About the job

As our new Payroll Specialist, you will become part of Group Finance, where you will join a larger team while sharing the primary responsibility for payroll accounting with one colleague. You will primarily be responsible for Danish payroll, and you will also provide support related to international payroll processes in our sales countries, where payroll administration is primarily handled by external payroll providers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the payroll process from A to Z, from data collection and validation to payment and reconciliation
  • Payroll controls, including validation, quality assurance, and the handling of alerts and reports
  • Administration of new hires, terminations, absences, holiday accounts, reimbursements, and related payroll activities
  • Handling severance payments, holiday pay accruals, and other payroll-related accounting entries
  • Payroll reconciliations, including three-way reconciliations between the payroll system, finance, and statutory reporting/eIncome, as well as reconciliations of accrued and outstanding payroll-related balances
  • Preparing audit documentation and delivering ad hoc reporting
  • Contributing to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives, including ensuring best practices across payroll processes

You will report to the Director, Group Finance, while working closely with HR Operations.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience with payroll systems (SAP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors are considered an advantage)
  • Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of systems in general. You are comfortable working analytically with large datasets, identifying patterns and connections in data, and applying a strong technical understanding
  • A keen eye for detail and a high degree of data accuracy
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and, ideally, collective agreements for blue collar employees
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate professionally with HR, Finance, and employees across the organization, including responding to payroll-related inquiries from employees
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities, while also enjoying close collaboration with a colleague on shared tasks
  • A proactive and curious approach to processes, along with a desire to contribute to continuous improvements
  • The ability to work in a structured and reliable manner, as our payroll processes require a high level of accuracy and quality
  • Fluency in Danish and strong English language skills

Who are we?

In Group Finance, you will become part of a dedicated team focused on quality, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving. In addition to Payroll, the department includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash and Bank Management, as well as process owners and system specialists who work closely together across Finance and other key functions.

The team has an informal and supportive culture, deep professional expertise, and a strong commitment to helping one another while continuously developing and improving processes together.
