The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, leveraging business insights to shape HR strategies and people priorities. This role acts as the primary partner for employee engagement, employee relations, talent development, performance management, and organizational growth. In collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), the role designs and delivers tailored, country-specific HR solutions to meet business needs across the India Subcontinent (India & Sri Lanka).

Where You’ll Make a Difference

HR Leadership

  • Establish and strengthen HR’s role as a trusted strategic business partner, aligning people strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive HR support to the Food Ingredients team in India, ensuring the effective delivery of people programs and solutions.
  • Partner with Regional HR, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and HR Business Partners to drive the successful implementation of global talent initiatives.

HR Strategy/initiatives

  • Partner with business and HR stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation and execution of HR and business initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on HR and business projects, providing guidance and driving successful outcomes through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Leverage business and workforce insights to drive the adoption and execution of talent management processes, including succession planning, leadership development, and performance management, while promoting HR best practices and consistency across the organization.

Change Management

  • Partner with business leaders, HR teams, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support change management initiatives and deliver effective organizational change solutions.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness through changes in structure, work design, team effectiveness, communications, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Partner with business leaders and Talent Acquisition teams to develop proactive workforce planning and staffing strategies that align with business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand hiring needs, talent requirements, and workforce plans, while attracting and retaining high-caliber talent in a high-performance environment.

Talent Strategy & Management:

  • Partner with business leaders to drive talent reviews, succession planning, talent development, talent gap analysis, and workforce planning aligned with business strategy and employee aspirations.
  • Coach and support leaders in performance management, employee development, engagement, and retention initiatives to foster high-performing teams.
  • Advance DE&I priorities by assessing workforce representation, leveraging relevant metrics, and identifying opportunities to strengthen inclusive talent practices.
  • Collaborate with Learning Solutions to identify critical capability needs and implement local, regional, and global learning, team development, and leadership development initiatives across the cluster.

Compliance

  • Ensure HR activities, policies, and practices comply with applicable local, national, and organizational requirements.
  • Support and manage internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to audit standards and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain, update, and communicate people policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with HR best practices.

What you will need to be successful

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline from a recognized institution, or equivalent qualification.
  • 10+ years of HR experience within manufacturing, FMCG, shared services, GCC, GBS, or similar environments, including experience supporting shared services operations.
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders and managing HR initiatives across multiple locations in India.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Experience working in diverse and multicultural environments, fostering collaboration across global teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic HR initiatives, solve complex people-related challenges, and support business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Track record of implementing and managing talent management, performance management, employee development, and other people programs.
  • Understanding of data privacy, confidentiality requirements, and employee data protection practices, combined with a continuous learning mindset and flexibility to travel locally as needed.

Important Information Regarding This Position
For your awareness, IFF has announced its intention to sell its Food Ingredients Business to CVC Capital Partners. The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Food Ingredient business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to CVC Capital Partners.
