IT System Administrator
About the role
Our client, an international IT services company, is looking for a IT System Administrator to join their team in Budapest. You will be the first and second line of IT support for colleagues, helping them quickly with hardware, software, access and everyday workplace technology problems. The job is hands-on and combines user support, endpoint administration, device management and day-to-day IT operations.
What you'll do
- Support users onsite and remotely with laptops, desktops, software, access requests, printers and other workplace tools
- Handle incidents and service requests in the ticketing system and make sure they are resolved on time
- Prepare, configure and hand over devices for new and existing employees
- Support the Microsoft 365 environment, including endpoint management, software installation, updates and OS upgrades
- Manage user accounts, passwords, licenses and permissions in Active Directory and Entra ID
- Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate repairs, replacements and the device lifecycle
- Keep asset inventories up to date and contribute to compliance, audit and reporting tasks
- Take part in IT projects, technology rollouts, migrations and process improvements
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop support, IT support, service desk or a similar end-user support role
- Practical experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems
- Good knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, device setup and user administration
- Solid ticket handling and customer service skills
- Strong communication skills and good English
- A proactive, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude
Nice to have
- Experience with Intune, Autopilot, Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure, ServiceNow or PowerShell
- Knowledge of ITIL principles, Linux or macOS
