Innovation Strategist - CPG

Introducing Huxly Huxly is the creative product innovation and strategic insights consultancy within MMR. We work with leading global food, drink, and consumer brands to uncover human needs, cultural insights and translate them into commercially relevant innovation opportunities. Our work spans innovation strategy, trend exploration, consumer insight, concept development, and experiential ideation — helping clients move confidently from early-stage inspiration through to tangible product and experience ideas. Huxly APAC is a growing team based in Singapore, working across diverse APAC & ANZ markets and cultures in the region. This role is a key hire as we scale our ability to deliver high-quality innovation and ideation work across multiple projects simultaneously This role joins Huxly APAC team is made up of highly enthusiastic and curious individuals who are truly passionate about food and drink, love to uncover deeper meanings, and thrive when working together. Key Responsibilities As an Innovation Strategist, you will play a hands-on role in delivering innovation-led projects, with a strong focus on Cultural & trend exploration, ideation, and concept development, Co-creation and strategic consultancy. Here's just some of the work you'll find yourself involved in: Support and help lead innovation projects- from early-stage exploration through to idea and concept development Spotting emerging trends 🔍 across food, drink, FMCG and lifestyle, and turning them into inspiration and opportunity. Fueling ideation 💡 with desk research, inspiration scans and smart provocations. Supporting workshops 🤝 - ideation sessions, co‑creation sprints and innovation labs — bringing energy, structure and fresh thinking. Shaping early‑stage ideas 🧠 into concepts that feel relevant, original and commercially sharp. Delivering projects 🚀 with a balance of imagination and rigour, working flexibly across teams and project types Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • 3–5 years’ experience in innovation, creative strategy, insight, or adjacent roles. • Strong understanding of the innovation process. • Experience supporting innovation or creative projects client or agency side. • Exposure to ideation or workshop environments • Strong commercial instinct - able to connect insight with business value • Proven passion for food, drink and or personal care categories • Understanding of APAC markets - able to identify market nuance and curious about cultural differences, rather than over-generalising the region. • Ideally lived/worked in the region. • Any regional language skills a plus. • Comfortable with APAC travel. • Based in Singapore / open to relocation Benefits At Huxly, we're committed to ensuring the happiness and well-being of each employee, regardless of where they are in the world!
