This hybrid position is based in Mandaluyong, with a work arrangement that combines on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing medical records, interpreting physician documentation, applying appropriate coding standards, and validating medical necessity to support accurate reimbursement. The role also involves working with billing and RCM teams to resolve coding-related queries, monitoring coding quality and productivity, and staying current with regulatory updates, payer policies, and code set changes. The position offers a sign-on bonus and a work-from-home setup component, subject to company policies and performance expectations.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Medical Coding and Coding Experience, with a focus on inpatient hospital coding.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Health Information Management and RHIT or similar professional credentials.
- Candidates should possess solid understanding of Medical Terminology and clinical documentation used in inpatient settings.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCS, RHIT, CPC) and formal training in medical coding or health information management are highly beneficial.
- Experience with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG assignment, as well as familiarity with payer rules and compliance standards, is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and prior experience in hospital or large healthcare organization coding are advantageous.
