Internship Programme

MeDirect is a Pan-European Maltese digital bank founded in 2004, serving over 160,000 clients with operations in both Malta and Belgium. The Bank provides a broad range of financial products and services to both retail and corporate customers, including daily banking, savings, payments, lending, and investment solutions . MeDirect’s purpose is to act as a trusted one-stop shop for clients’ financial needs, while also empowering individuals and businesses to take ownership of their finances and feel confident in managing their money. MeDirect’s Internship Programme offers students the opportunity to gain practical exposure within a modern banking environment and contribute meaningfully to the organisation. Interns maybe selected for different business areas, where they will support day-to-day activities and assist with tasks that have a direct impact on both clients and internal stakeholders. The programme provides valuable insight into banking processes, regulatory requirements, client interactions, and operational best practices, while also developing transferable workplace skills. Interested students may select from the following areas/departments listed below: Administration & HR Regulatory Compliance Regulatory Affairs & Sustainability Legal Risk Finance & Audit Corporate Financing / Services Operations Retail/Marketing/ Customer Support Technology Internship opportunities may not be available in all departments listed above. When completing your application, we encourage you to indicate the departments that interest you most. Our team will then contact you to guide you through the currently available opportunities. Requirements for the internship programme include: Open to students commencing with their bachelor’s or master’s degree on either a part-time or full-time basis. Must be at least 18 years of age Must have excellent level of spoken and written English Able to contribute to an average minimum of 16 hours per week All our internships have different requirements specific to the business demands within the respective departments and teams.
