Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software operates and manages wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.
About the job:
Your Mission
You will be responsible for managing, optimizing and developing the IT infrastructure of VSN and Woody Technologies, both internally and in the technology environments used to deliver services to our customers.
- We are looking for a technically strong, independent problem-solver who can combine a strategic view of infrastructure with direct involvement in day-to-day operations.
- This is not a purely managerial role. We need a hands-on IT Manager with solid technical experience who can troubleshoot issues directly, implement improvements and lead technology transformation projects.
- You will report to Technology Management and work closely with the Development, Product, Operations and Customer Support teams of both companies.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure and Systems Management
- Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of VSN and Woody Technologies, including servers, networks, storage, virtualization and corporate systems.
- Ensure the availability, performance and security of technology systems.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage virtualization platforms and storage systems.
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery and business continuity policies.
- Manage IT asset inventories, software licenses and technology assets.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate and optimize infrastructure across both companies.
2. Cloud Infrastructure & AWS
- Administer and optimize cloud environments, primarily on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Manage services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch and other AWS infrastructure components.
- Oversee the security, availability and scalability of cloud platforms.
- Work with Development and Product teams to deploy and maintain SaaS solutions.
- Participate in migrations from on-premises infrastructure to cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Implement monitoring, alerting and automation mechanisms.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs using FinOps best practices.
3. Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Define and implement IT security policies for both companies.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, remote access systems and endpoint protection tools.
- Administer identity and access systems, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory and MFA.
- Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate the necessary remediation actions.
- Ensure appropriate management of access, permissions and credentials.
- Support compliance with applicable data protection and security regulations, including GDPR where relevant.
- Define and maintain security incident response procedures.
4. IT Support and Internal Operations
- Ensure the reliable operation of tools and systems used by employees of both companies.
- Handle second- and third-level technical incidents.
- Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and other corporate tools.
- Coordinate external IT service, telecommunications and hardware providers.
- Document procedures, configurations and internal policies.
- Continuously improve support processes through automation and artificial intelligence tools.
5. Automation, DevOps and Continuous Improvement
- Drive automation of repetitive tasks and systems administration processes.
- Collaborate with Development teams to improve application deployment and maintenance processes.
- Participate in implementing CI/CD tools, containers and monitoring systems.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.
- Evaluate new technologies that can improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to IT operations, monitoring and incident resolution.
6. Budget and Vendor Management
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the IT budget.
- Control infrastructure, cloud service, licensing and vendor costs.
- Negotiate with technology vendors and manage their contracts.
- Identify cost savings without compromising service quality or availability.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for availability, incidents, security and costs.
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in systems administration and IT infrastructure, including coordination or management responsibilities.
- Strong experience administering Windows and Linux servers.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls and perimeter security.
- Experience with virtualization, storage and backup systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory and identity management.
- Experience in cybersecurity and infrastructure protection best practices.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex incidents.
- Professional English proficiency (minimum B2) for working in an international environment.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills.
Highly Valued Qualifications
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator or similar).
- Experience with SaaS environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and automation tools.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar technologies.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash or Python).

- On-site work from the GDC Lebanon office, collaborating with international teams.
