IT Support Engineer (Network Support)

Location: Wapda Town Lahore


About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong background in Network Support to join our new Data Center project in Tydal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining network infrastructure, providing L1/L2 support, and ensuring high availability of data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1/L2 network and IT infrastructure support within the data center environment
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Perform rack & stack, structured cabling (copper & fiber), and hardware installations
• Handle hardware break-fix, RMA, and component replacements (Servers, Switches, Routers)
• Perform patching, cable management, and labeling as per standards
• Document network diagrams, incidents, and work performed in ticketing system
• Collaborate with remote NOC and engineering teams for escalations
• Ensure adherence to data center safety, security, and operational procedures
• Work in 8-hour from 11 AM to 7M onsite in Office
  
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of proven experience as IT Support Engineer / Network Support Engineer / Data Center Technician
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, OSI Model, Routing & Switching
• Hands-on experience with network hardware - Cisco, Juniper, Arista or similar
• Experience with cabling, patch panels, QSFPs, and fiber optics
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow) and monitoring tools
• Good knowledge of Windows/Linux OS troubleshooting is a plus
• Relevant certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred
• Fluent in English (Written and Spoken) - Mandatory
• Ability to work independently, in shifts, and handle physical tasks
