About VectorY

VectorY is a fast-growing biotech company developing long-lasting therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, based at Amsterdam Science Park. We combine gene therapy and antibody engineering to pursue new possibilities where medical need is high. With approximately 80 professionals across Amsterdam, Europe and the US, we are building momentum and scaling our organisation thoughtfully. At VectorY, innovation and collaboration are not just values. They are how we achieve our ambition. We believe the best ideas emerge when people challenge each other openly, work across boundaries, and stay focused on what is right for the organisation. We embrace diversity while striving to function as one cohesive, mission-driven team. As our organisation continues to grow through clinical development, so does the volume of day-to-day finance operations that need to run accurately and on time.

The Role
This is a hands-on opportunity for a finance professional early in their career who enjoys structure, accuracy and getting things done. As Junior Finance Operations Specialist, you will take ownership of the recurring operational and administrative processes within Finance, from purchase-to-pay to the weekly bank administration. Reporting to the Finance Specialist, you will make sure these processes are completed accurately and on time, so the rest of the Finance team can focus on budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and analysis. You will also support payroll administration, the annual audit and month-end and year-end closing.

Who You Are
You are structured, accurate and comfortable working with recurring deadlines. You take ownership and proactively follow up with colleagues, suppliers and external parties, while knowing when to escalate. You work independently, take a practical, hands-on approach and look for opportunities to make recurring processes work better.

This role is a great fit for you if...
You enjoy bringing order to the details. You get satisfaction from a clean administration, invoices that are paid on time and a bank reconciliation without open items. If you are looking for a role where you can build a solid foundation in finance operations in a growing international biotech company, this could be an excellent next step.
What You'll Do
  • Take day-to-day ownership of the purchase-to-pay process in Coupa, from purchase request through invoice approval and payment
  • Follow up on missing POs, receipts and approvals, prepare payment runs and monitor the transfer of transactions to Twinfield
  • Support supplier onboarding and act as first point of contact for routine purchase-to-pay questions
  • Administer corporate cards and employee expenses in Ramp, including reconciliations and follow-up on missing receipts
  • Coordinate the timesheet process and perform first-level checks of project and activity coding
  • Maintain the WKR administration and perform the monthly UBD exercise, keeping documentation complete for Finance and WBSO purposes
  • Prepare the weekly bank transactions with clear coding and commentary for the external accountant
  • Support payroll administration and act as back-up when required
  • Support the annual audit and month-end and year-end closing with supporting documentation
What You Bring
  • An HBO or Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration, Business Economics, Accountancy or a related field
  • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience
  • A good understanding of basic accounting and financial processes
  • Good Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with Coupa, Twinfield, Ramp or comparable systems is an advantage
What We Offer
  • A hands-on finance role with clear ownership of day-to-day Finance operations
  • The opportunity to build your finance experience in an exciting stage of VectorY growth
  • Direct collaboration with the Finance Specialist, Controller, CFO and colleagues across the business
  • A collaborative and international working environment
  • Annual salary of €40,000–€53,500 based on experience, plus a competitive benefits package
  • Annual bonus of 5%
  • A 32-hour working week
  • 30 holidays on a full-time basis
  • Hybrid working model with office days at Amsterdam Science Park
