Position Overview

Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our Sales Department at one of our offices based in Dublin, Cork or Kildare. This role will suit individuals who:

• Are looking to develop a career in estimating, commercial management, and sales
• Have strong analytical and organisational skills
• Want exposure to real project costing, client engagement, and tendering
• Are motivated to progress into a senior commercial or sales role

What You Will Do

• Preparation of cost estimates and quotations for geospatial surveying projects
• Review and interpretation of tender documents, drawings, and specifications
• Assisting in the development of pricing strategies and commercial submissions
• Supporting the sales team in managing incoming enquiries and client requests
• Liaising with operational teams to determine:
• Fieldwork requirements
• Resource allocation
• Programme durations
• Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals
• Maintaining and updating quotation trackers and sales pipelines
• Supporting client engagement and follow-up to secure work
• Identifying opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling services
• Ensuring all commercial outputs align with company standards and risk controls
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Commercial role (or strong graduate with relevant placement experience)
• Diploma or equivalent in:
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Construction Economics
  • Engineering or related discipline
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good understanding of construction or engineering environments (desirable)
• Strong IT skills (Excel essential)
• Right to work in Ireland
