Role Description As a Language Contributor at Leangoogs AI, you will help improve AI systems by providing high-quality language data, feedback, and evaluations in your areas of linguistic expertise. On a day-to-day basis, you may perform tasks such as text and audio transcription, annotation and labeling, linguistic judgments, quality review, and preference evaluations on AI-generated content. You may also support localization work, contribute to safety and bias assessments, and participate in multimodal data projects involving text, audio, image, or video. This is a volunteer, remote role, allowing you to contribute from anywhere with reliable internet access and flexible hours based on project needs.
Qualifications

• Strong language skills in at least one target language (and preferably multiple languages), including excellent reading, writing, and comprehension abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when performing transcription, annotation, labeling, and quality review tasks.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines, apply consistent judgment, and document observations clearly.
• Comfort working with digital tools and platforms for data collection, annotation, and evaluation in a remote environment.
• Understanding of local cultures, contexts, and community perspectives, especially across African languages or Global South regions, is highly beneficial.
• Interest in AI, data quality, and responsible technology development; prior experience with AI evaluation or linguistics is a plus but not required.
• Reliable internet connection, ability to work independently, and willingness to participate in training or calibration sessions as needed.
