About Us
Talent Match Africa connects experienced professionals in Africa (just like you!) with international employers from around the world (places like the USA, Australia, the UK, India, and Europe). Since 2016, we’ve been providing employability services to professionals across technology, finance, digital marketing, graphic design, and more. We currently have several permanent roles available at our offices in Johannesburg (Sandton) and Durban (Umhlanga), working for incredible international companies.
About the Role
We are recruiting a Spanish-Speaking Fleet Manager on behalf of our client, an international company with a growing vehicle fleet. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day fleet operations remotely, coordinating with Spanish- and English-speaking drivers, vendors, and internal teams to keep vehicles compliant, maintained, and on the road. You’ll be the central point of contact for everything fleet-related, from scheduling and maintenance to cost control and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of the client’s fleet, including acquisition, registration, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles
- Communicate fluently in Spanish and English with drivers, mechanics, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and servicing to minimise downtime
- Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and driver behaviour using fleet management and telematics systems
- Ensure all vehicles and drivers meet licensing, insurance, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Manage accident, incident, and damage reporting, including insurance claims and follow-up
- Negotiate with and manage vendors such as repair shops, fuel providers, leasing companies, and insurers
- Track fleet expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Maintain accurate fleet records, documentation, and databases
- Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and compliance for management
- Support driver onboarding, including policy communication and training coordination
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) — non-negotiable
- 3+ years’ experience in fleet management, fleet coordination, logistics, or transport operations
- Experience with fleet management software and/or telematics platforms (e.g. Samsara, Geotab, Fleetio, or similar)
- Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules, compliance, and insurance processes
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
- Experience working with international clients or teams is advantageous
- A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, transport management, or business is advantageous
To Be Successful, You’ll Need To
- Be able to work on-site at our office in Kenya, during non-traditional local hours to align with the client’s time zone
- Be highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple vehicles, drivers, and vendors at once
- Communicate clearly and confidently across cultures and languages
- Be proactive and solution-driven, especially when handling breakdowns, incidents, or urgent issues
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record-keeping
- Be a confident negotiator who keeps costs under control without compromising safety
- Work independently while staying accountable to a remote team
