CSA Design Engineer Lead

Location: Dublin / Any of the offices Nationwide (Hybrid Option)

Salary: €90k–€100k DOE + benefits (bonus, pension, health insurance discount, vehicle/ fuel card if travel required)

Lead a dynamic team at a leading utility infrastructure consultancy, overseeing HV substation design for transmission and distribution projects across Ireland, the UK, and globally.

Role:

• Lead and mentor a team of CSA Design Engineers.
• Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Provide technical support during design, construction and commissioning.
• Manage project priorities, resources and technical queries to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and support the development of junior engineers.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (NFQ Level 8)
• 4+ years’ relevant experience, with leadership or design experience preferred
• Strong technical/design expertise; AutoCAD knowledge a plus (training provided)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Flexible, proactive, and strategic thinker with strong report-writing skills
• Full driver’s license required
