Role Description The Legal Intern role at MyDreamConnect is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the organization’s legal and compliance activities. The Legal Intern will assist with legal research on issues relevant to youth development, employment, non-profit operations, and digital initiatives, and help prepare and review legal documents, agreements, and policies under supervision. Daily tasks include supporting legal consulting efforts for internal stakeholders, drafting clear documentation and internal memos, and helping identify and address potential legal risks. The intern will collaborate with program, operations, and management teams to ensure that organizational practices align with applicable laws and regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and templates.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Law and familiarity with Legal Issues relevant to non-profit, youth development, or social impact work.
  • Ability to support Legal Consulting activities, including basic legal analysis and providing well-researched recommendations under supervision.
  • Experience or training in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, policies, and agreements.
  • Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present legal information clearly to non-legal stakeholders in writing and verbally.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a law program; interest in public interest, social impact, or international development law is an advantage.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams across locations.
  • High ethical standards, commitment to youth empowerment, and openness to learning in a fast-evolving legal and social impact context.
