Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Loan Trade Settlement Analyst to join a team responsible for managing a portfolio of LMA secondary par loan trades from trade date through settlement. The role involves supporting a high-volume trading environment, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of loan transactions while effectively managing operational, counterparty, and settlement risks.

The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, Sales, Trade Support, Operations, Agent Banks, Legal Counsel, and external counterparties to facilitate seamless trade execution and settlement. This role requires strong technical knowledge of the secondary loan market, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of LMA secondary par loan trades from trade date through successful settlement.

  • Monitor trading systems daily for newly executed trades.

  • Affirm and confirm trade details with counterparties and clients.

  • Ensure all trade documentation is accurate, complete, and processed within required timelines.

  • Liaise with trade counterparties, agent banks, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth settlement execution.

  • Coordinate with Operations Trade Settlement teams to provide settlement instructions and resolve settlement-related issues.

  • Track outstanding items and proactively escalate potential settlement risks.

  • Review, prepare, and process loan trade documentation

  • Support amendment, waiver, and consent processes.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of ClearPar and related settlement platforms.

  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks associated with loan trading activities.

  • Understand the downstream impact of trade entries within Loan IQ (LIQ) throughout the trade lifecycle.

  • Ensure Sales and Trading partners are informed of outstanding issues, risks, and settlement delays.

  • Support resolution of risk and P&L discrepancies in partnership with the Sales, Trading, and Trade Support teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Act as a key point of contact for counterparties throughout the settlement process.

  • Collaborate effectively across Front Office, Operations, Legal, and Risk functions.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within Loan Trade Settlements, Loan Operations, Loan Agency, or Syndicated Loans.

  • Strong understanding of LMA secondary loan market processes and settlement conventions.

  • Working knowledge of loan trade documentation and settlement workflows.

  • Experience interacting with Trading Desks, Operations, Legal teams, and external counterparties.

  • Knowledge of Loan IQ (LIQ) and loan settlement platforms such as ClearPar is highly desirable.

This is a 6 months fixed term contract based in London with hybrid working. As the selection and interview process is ongoing, please submit your application in English as soon as possible, if your profile is selected, a member of our team will contact you within 4 weeks. For this role a valid working permit for the UK is mandatory.

Expectations regarding hybrid working:
As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the clients' offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our clients' policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our clients now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require. However, some of our clients have now moved up to 4 days and even 5 days in the office and we require candidates to be flexible to meet our client demands.
