A little about the position:
Job Summary
Our purpose at Latham is to create spaces where lifelong memories are made. The Manager, Corporate Communications plays a crucial role in achieving our purpose, by bringing Latham’s strategy, culture and story to life for our employees and external audiences. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who can think strategically, write, plan and execute exceptionally well, and turn big ideas into communications people actually want to read, watch and engage with.
We are looking for a builder. Someone who sees what is possible, creates structure where it is needed and is not afraid to test new approaches. You will inherit important work already underway while helping shape how Corporate Communications operates and grows at Latham.
You will advise leaders and deliver leadership and change communications, employee engagement, corporate storytelling, and high-visibility enterprise initiatives. Equally energized by strategy and hands-on execution, you will ask smart questions, roll up your sleeves and get every word, visual, timeline and detail right.
Some of What You Will Do:
Corporate Communications Strategy & Execution
- Partner with the Senior Director of Corporate Communications to develop and execute integrated communications strategies aligned with Latham Pool business objectives, culture and growth priorities.
- Plan and execute communications for enterprise initiatives, aligning clear, consistent, audience-focused messaging with the right delivery channels.
- Lead the strategy, design and build-out of Latham’s employee intranet, bringing proven intranet expertise and best practices to create an intuitive, engaging and sustainable digital destination that connects employees to the information, resources and stories they need.
- Serve as a trusted communications partner to functional and business leaders, providing strategic counsel while maintaining a hands-on role in content development and execution.
- Monitor communications performance, employee feedback and relevant external trends, using insights to strengthen future programs and campaigns.
Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
- Develop and deliver employee communications that inform, connect and engage Latham Pool employees across corporate, field and manufacturing environments.
- Create executive and leadership communications, including messages, talking points, presentations, scripts and materials for company Town Halls, leadership meetings and other employee forums.
- Partner with Human Resources and business leaders on organizational change, culture, engagement and other people-focused communications.
- Build opportunities for two-way communication and employee feedback, helping leaders listen, respond and reinforce key messages across the organization.
- Manage content across Latham Pool internal communications channels and campaigns, adapting messages for different employee audiences and work environments.
- Help identify and develop corporate stories that reinforce Latham Pool's strategy, culture, leadership and reputation with key stakeholders.
- Manage timelines, stakeholders, approvals, budgets and deliverables for complex communications projects, leading the work from strategy through execution.
- Use communications technologies, analytics, AI, planning and reporting platforms and emerging tools to improve the efficiency, reach and effectiveness of the Corporate Communications function.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Approximately 10 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, internal and change management communications, experience in a complex, multi-location organization strongly preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing and design skills, with demonstrated ability to adapt voice, tone and format for executives, employees (corporate and hourly), social media and other stakeholders.
- Proven employee intranet and digital communications design and execution expertise.
- Experience developing and executing communications strategies and managing high-visibility projects independently, on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional partners.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors and project budgets preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and communications, expert at Microsoft SharePoint, social media, analytics and media-monitoring tools; comfort using AI-enabled tools responsibly is preferred.
Key Capabilities
- Strategic thinker who can connect communications activity to business priorities and employee needs.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, accessible and compelling messages.
- Highly organized, self-motivated and an accountable project manager who can prioritize effectively, anticipate needs and deliver high-quality work on schedule in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and composure when handling sensitive or rapidly evolving issues.
- A team-first self-starter who is action orientated and emotionally intelligent, with the confidence to provide thoughtful counsel.
- A true communications advocate who always strives for excellence, educates and challenges constructively, and can “disagree and commit” to achieve success.
