The role:

At Inside Travel, we create exceptional cultural adventures across Japan and Asia, and we’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Specialist to help elevate our brands InsideJapan and InsideAsia in the Australian market.

Working closely with our Marketing and Communications Manager and global marketing team, you’ll play a key role in driving heightened brand awareness and commercial success. No day will look the same as you support the delivery of campaign activity across a broad spectrum of owned and paid channels.

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinating local marketing and communications activity, keeping briefs, timelines, assets and stakeholders organised to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.

• Creating and adapting engaging content for Australian audiences, from campaigns and social content to media materials and sales resources.

• Supporting PR and media activity, including identifying story opportunities, drafting media materials, liaising with journalists and helping coordinate press trips and media visits.

• Helping deliver consumer, trade, media and partner events and working with internal teams, agencies, suppliers and industry partners to bring activity together.

• Monitoring marketing and PR activity, gathering market and customer insights, and helping identify opportunities to improve future campaigns and performance.

What we are looking for from you:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to communicate clearly with colleagues, media, agencies, suppliers and industry partners.

• A sound understanding of the marketing mix and how different activity works together to build awareness, engage customers and ultimately support business growth.

• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to keep multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders moving while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to take ownership of your work, adapt when priorities change and know when to ask for guidance.

• A genuine interest in travel and culturally rich destinations. Experience in travel, hospitality, lifestyle or another customer-focused industry would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.

• Able to travel for company initiatives as needed and flexible to collaborate across time zones with the support of flexible hours and hybrid arrangements.
