Join Montecito Bank & Trust as a Marketing Manager!

As the largest locally owned community Bank on the Central Coast, Montecito Bank & Trust is committed to our founding principle: to make the communities we serve better places to live and work. We are always looking for talented professionals who are passionate about personalized service, community involvement, and innovation. By joining our team, we are dedicated to your career development and wellbeing, in and out of the workplace.

About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to join the team in our Marketing department. As a Marketing Manager, you will deliver a World Class Experience by turning the Bank’s marketing strategy into executed, measurable, and compliant campaigns across brand, digital, social, creative, and product marketing. As a hands-on leader, the incumbent owns the annual integrated marketing roadmap, manages the people, agencies, and vendors who deliver it, and answers for results to executive leadership. The Marketing Manager partners with every line of business (Personal, Small Business, Nonprofit, Commercial, and Wealth Management), builds a working command of the Bank's deposit, lending, treasury, and wealth products, and works with IT and internal developers on the website and digital experience. Everything the Bank publishes is reviewed with Legal and Compliance and must be accurate, fair, and regulation ready. The role is both strategic and tactical and builds deeper community connections with the brand. You will be located in Santa Barbara, CA with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, required; MBA or professional certifications preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive marketing experience in a highly regulated industry (banking, healthcare, insurance, or similar), including formal legal, regulatory, and compliance review required.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or management role required.
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing multi-channel campaigns, managing production of advertising, and managing a website required.
  • Banking or financial services marketing experience, ideally with deposit, lending and small business products, preferred.

Your Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Director to develop and regularly update the annual integrated Marketing Roadmap and 360-degree communication plans for the brand and each line of business (TV, radio, outdoor, print, social, display, search, site messaging, email).
  • Translate business objectives (deposit growth, loan origination, new-to-bank households, cross-sell, commercial pipeline) into campaign strategies with clear KPIs.
  • Use audience segmentation and customer insight to tailor messaging for consumers, small businesses, nonprofits, commercial clients, and wealth clients.
  • Lead paid search, paid social, programmatic display, video/TV and geo-targeted campaigns, with accountability for targeting, budget pacing and results.
  • Oversee email, SMS, and other lifecycle marketing programs with Operations and Compliance.
  • Partner with IT and internal developers on roadmap, UX/UI, content, and prioritization for public website and digital marketing assets.
  • Partner with key Bank departments to develop clear, accurate, and compelling value propositions and launch messaging for priority products and services.
  • Work with data analysts to manage the marketing dashboard and report on KPIs, including product adoption, segmentation growth, media efficiency, ROI, cost per acquisition and customer lifetime value.

Your Benefits

  • Workplace Culture that Values YOU
  • Competitive Pay
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance
  • 401K Matching/Retirement Planning
  • Paid Vacation Time, Sick Time, Federal Holidays, & Volunteer Time
  • Associate Bank Accounts

Individual pay is based on a multitude of factors, including candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform in the position and pay equity.
