At NRI, we bring together deep technology expertise, capability and real-world industry experience to help organisations solve complex challenges and shape what's next. From IT advisory and enterprise transformation to quality engineering, cyber, cloud and managed services, we work across the full technology lifecycle - turning ideas into outcomes that make a difference. With a global heritage and a strong presence across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, we combine the scale and capability to take on complex challenges with the agility, collaboration and the personal connection of a local team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Performance & Technology practice combines strategic advisory, digital transformation, experience design, data and analytics, and enterprise platform expertise to help organisations navigate change and achieve lasting business outcomes. Working across strategy, design, implementation and adoption, we partner with clients to modernise ways of working, improve decision-making, enhance customer and employee experiences, and maximise the value of technology investments.

The Master Scheduler & Program Coordinator is responsible for both integrated schedule management and PMO coordination activities across the Fortuna Program. The role provides a single point of control for program planning, governance, reporting, dependency management, and delivery coordination, ensuring leadership has a clear and accurate view of progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming milestones.

This role is particularly suitable during early program mobilisation, smaller program phases, or where PMO functions are intentionally streamlined.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) across the program.
  • Consolidate project, workstream, vendor and external delivery plans into a single integrated schedule.
  • Identify, track and manage cross-workstream dependencies and critical path activities.
  • Monitor schedule performance, forecast delivery impacts and proactively escalate risks.
  • Conduct schedule health checks, planning assurance reviews and critical path analysis.
  • Coordinate governance forums, reporting cycles and stakeholder updates.
  • Produce program dashboards, status reports and executive reporting packs.
  • Maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Actions) registers and monitor mitigation activities.
  • Facilitate dependency management across project teams, business units and external partners.
  • Track milestones, deliverables and key program commitments.
  • Support change control processes and impact assessments.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, action registers and governance documentation.
  • Maintain PMO repositories, artefacts, reporting calendars and delivery deadlines.
  • Support program audits, reviews and assurance activities.
  • Ensure PMO governance standards, controls and reporting requirements are consistently applied.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Program Coordination, PMO, Project Controls, Program Planning or Master Scheduling roles.
  • Strong experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules within large, complex programs.
  • Demonstrated capability in governance, executive reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Experience maintaining RAID registers and managing program risks, issues, dependencies and actions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage Program Directors, PMO Managers, Project Managers, Workstream Leads and vendors.
  • Proven ability to identify critical path impacts and provide accurate delivery forecasts.
  • Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of Steering Committee and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience supporting change control, audits and assurance activities.
  • Strong proficiency with project planning and reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Project Online, Excel and PMO reporting tools).
  • Knowledge and practical experience working within Waterfall delivery methodologies (essential).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Location: Sydney (minimum 3 days per week in office).
