Mathematics Subject Tutor – Online | Lyceum

Lyceum is looking for a skilled and passionate Mathematics Tutor to join our academic team for online teaching. You will help students build strong problem-solving skills, understand core concepts, and gain confidence in math through clear, engaging virtual classes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• B.Ed or teaching certification preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching or tutoring experience (strong fresh graduates may also apply)
• Strong command of mathematical concepts and the ability to simplify difficult topics
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Comfortable using Zoom, Google Meet, and online whiteboards or LMS platforms
• Reliable internet connection, laptop/computer or tablet, and a quiet teaching space

Responsibilities:

• Deliver interactive online mathematics lessons aligned with the school curriculum
• Teach topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus (as per grade level)
• Break down complex problems into simple, step-by-step explanations
• Use digital whiteboards, graphing tools, and online resources to make lessons visual and engaging
• Assign and assess homework, quizzes, and tests, and give constructive feedback
• Track student progress and provide extra support to students who need it
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations
• Keep students engaged and maintain a positive online classroom environment
