Role Summary
- Role title: Media Buyer, Client Success Manager & Creative Strategist
- Location and hours: Remote. You will work mainly in line with our senior media buyer's hours, with overlap for team meetings in SAST (GMT+2) and Dubai (GMT+4). Exact working hours will be agreed with the successful candidate.
- Engagement: Independent contractor, starting with a 1-month probation period.
- Start date: To be agreed with the successful candidate.
Purpose of the Role
Natura Labs works with a small number of high-impact clients, and these relationships run more like growth partnerships than a standard agency service. Our main focus is a key brand partnership and our internal skincare brands, alongside our agency clients.
We need someone who can run Meta ads, own client communication and lead creative strategy across these accounts. You will take over media buying work from our senior media buyer in stages and make sure every client relationship has clear, consistent communication. The role builds on a background in operations, team management and client success, and it will grow as you learn.
The level of responsibility is high. This role calls for someone who takes full ownership, learns fast and makes sure work is delivered accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Media Buying, introduced in stages
- Learn Meta media buying directly from our senior media buyer and leadership, starting from day one.
- Stage 1: set up, launch and monitor ads, taking over the setup tasks that currently take up most of our senior media buyer's time.
- Stage 2: move into optimization and wider account management as your skills develop, at an agreed pace.
- Work with our senior media buyer on account strategy and report on campaign performance.
- Feed results and insights back to the creative team to improve future work.
2. Client Communication and Client Success
- Own day-to-day client communication, including performance updates and progress on open tasks.
- Run our client feedback loops on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis. These cover areas such as development, creative and finance.
- Use our automated reporting bots and reports for client updates, and help improve them.
- Support regular client calls and check-ins, including reporting on results and next steps.
- Manage each client relationship according to its own dynamics and requirements, and escalate to our senior media buyer or leadership when needed.
3. Creative Strategy
- Own creative strategy for your accounts: develop concepts, angles and hooks for ads across our offers.
- Write clear briefs and scripts for editors and designers, setting out what to make and why.
- Use performance data from media buying to decide what to test, what to iterate on and what to stop.
- Collect and review end-of-day (EOD) reports from the pod and carry out quality control on creative to make sure it matches the strategy and brief before it goes live.
- Research customers, competitors and winning ads, including with ad spy tools, to find new angles to test.
- Work closely with the creative pods, editors and our senior media buyer so that creative and media buying move together.
- Keep a record of tested concepts and learnings so the team builds on what works.
- Lead a creative strategy pod of editors and designers, managing daily output against targets.
4. Creator Program
- Work alongside our creator program team and learn the program in depth.
- Bring your operations and client success experience to support our creator program, with scope to take on more responsibility over time.
5. Operations Support, Hiring and Onboarding
As capacity allows.
- Support the operations team day to day and help keep task tracking and accountability running smoothly.
- Support the hiring process and help onboard new team members.
First 30 / 60 / 90 Days
Indicative plan. Specific targets will be agreed once you join.
- Probation: Get set up on our tools, accounts and reporting bots. Take over the client communication loops. Start setting up, launching and monitoring ads with guidance from our senior media buyer. Expect an intensive learning period over the first two to three weeks.
- By day 30: Set up, launch and monitor campaigns on assigned accounts with limited supervision. Send daily client updates, keep the feedback loops running and own creative strategy and briefs for assigned accounts.
- Days 31 to 90: Move into optimization and wider account management, and take on a growing share of client communication, working towards agreed 60- and 90-day targets.
KPIs and Success Measures
- Campaigns set up and launched accurately and on schedule.
- A clear and growing share of our senior media buyer's setup and launch work taken over.
- Client updates sent on time and all feedback loops running to schedule, with no communication gaps.
- Client questions answered or escalated quickly, with no surprises for leadership.
- Account performance against agreed targets.
- Creative test win rate: the share of new concepts and iterations that become winning ads, measured against an agreed benchmark.
- Brief turnaround: briefs delivered to editors on time and to the agreed standard.
- Clear daily async updates and reliable follow-through on open items.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in team management, operations and client success.
- A quick learner who is comfortable being stretched and picking up new platforms and skills.
- A strong sense of ownership and attention to detail, with the focus to finish one task before moving to the next.
- Comfortable working with AI tools and automation to simplify workflows.
- Comfortable working in Slack and ClickUp.
- A genuine interest in performance marketing and media buying.
Working Setup
- Remote and async: the team works across several time zones, and each person works the hours that suit their location, with overlap for meetings.
- Daily updates: a clear async update is expected every day.
- Tools: Slack for communication, ClickUp for task management, and AI bots for reporting and feedback loops.
Probation
All new team members complete a 1-month probation period. This is standard for every new hire at Natura Labs and gives both sides the opportunity to confirm the role is the right fit.
Compensation
- Payment: Monthly, in USD
