Medical Director

Role Description The Medical Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for providing clinical leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance for medical programs and services. Daily activities include reviewing and advising on clinical protocols, ensuring adherence to best practice guidelines, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on patient care pathways. The Medical Director will participate in case reviews, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and provide clinical input on program development and evaluation. The role also involves mentoring clinical staff, supporting education and training efforts, and offering expert consultation on complex cases within relevant specialties. Regular virtual meetings, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders are expected to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational expertise in Medicine, with board certification or equivalent in a relevant clinical specialty.
• Clinical experience or specialized knowledge in Cardiology, with the ability to provide guidance on cardiovascular care and protocols.
• Clinical experience or specialized knowledge in Neurology, including familiarity with common neurological conditions and their management.
• Clinical experience or specialized knowledge in Oncology, with understanding of cancer care pathways and treatment options.
• Demonstrated experience working with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in relevant jurisdiction(s), and eligibility to practice in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Proven experience in clinical leadership, medical administration, or directorship roles, preferably in a remote or distributed setting.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret clinical data and apply evidence-based practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in documenting reviews, policies, and clinical guidance.
