Mental Health Team Lead VCC

Join Healthcare Australia (HCA) as a Mental Health Team Leader – Virtual Care Centre (VCC) and use your clinical and leadership experience to support the delivery of high-quality mental health care through virtual services.

We’re looking for an experienced Mental Health Team Leader to lead, support and mentor our VCC nursing team. This role combines clinical leadership, mental health expertise and telehealth, with hybrid flexibility – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

As the Mental Health RN Team Leader , you will provide clinical and operational leadership to the VCC Mental Health team, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and positive client outcomes.

You will oversee mental health intake, assessment, triage, risk management, care coordination and referral processes, while supporting the team with complex clinical presentations and escalation pathways.

You will also play a key role in staff supervision, professional development, clinical governance and continuous improvement across the service.

Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 5:00pm

Day to day!

• Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to the VCC Mental Health team.
• Oversee mental health intake, assessment, triage, risk assessment and referral processes.
• Provide clinical consultation and support for complex mental health presentations and risk escalation.
• Lead clinical reviews, case conferences, supervision and professional development activities.
• Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to clinical governance, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote evidence-based, culturally responsive and person-centred mental health care.

Lets talk about you!

You will have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and meet one of the following experience/qualification requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years’ relevant clinical experience, including significant Mental Health experience; OR
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant clinical experience, including significant Mental Health experience, together with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or a related discipline.
• You will also have strong Team Leader experience, including leading, supervising and mentoring clinical teams, with experience in mental health intake, triage, crisis intervention or care coordination. Experience in virtual care or telehealth is desirable.
