MEP Specialist

Role Description The MEP Specialist at DEL BARRIO MOBILITY will provide part-time, remote support for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination across mobility-related projects. The role involves reviewing and developing MEP designs, collaborating with project teams to ensure system integration, and identifying conflicts or constraints within architectural and structural layouts. The specialist will use Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to coordinate MEP models, prepare technical documentation, and contribute to design reviews. Daily tasks include updating project models, responding to design queries, supporting quality control checks, and communicating progress and issues to project managers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge and experience with MEP Coordination across multidisciplinary projects.
• Candidates should possess practical skills in Plumbing and Plumbing Design for building and mobility infrastructure systems.
• Candidates should possess experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for coordinating MEP models.
• Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and building codes relevant to MEP systems.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills to manage multiple part-time assignments.
• Candidates should possess relevant technical education in engineering, architecture, or a related field; professional certifications in MEP or BIM are beneficial.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with common design and coordination software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and a reliable setup for remote work.
