Location: US Remote (EST hours) Role Type: Full-time | Exempt Reports To: Director of Merchandise Planning About the Role Alex and Ani is looking for a Merchandise Manager to join our Merchandising team and play a key role in the development and management of our product assortment. This role will play a key role in the day-to-day merchandising of the business, with a focus on product performance, assortment decisions, trends, and seasonal launches. You’ll work closely with Merchandise Planning and cross-functional partners across Product Development, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Operations to ensure we’re bringing the right products to our customers at the right time. The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, highly organized, and curious about the customer and product performance. You’re comfortable digging into the details, turning data into actionable insights, and taking ownership in a fast-paced, growing environment. What You’ll Do: Support the development and execution of seasonal and ongoing product assortments Analyze sales, inventory, margin, and product performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks Evaluate product performance at the SKU, collection, and category levels and surface actionable insights Maintain and update assortment, product, and merchandising reports Bring data, insights, and recommendations to assortment reviews to inform merchandising decisions Partner with Merchandise Planning to monitor sales and inventory performance and identify opportunities or risks Support product launches, assortment changes, promotions, and key seasonal moments Conduct competitive and market research to identify relevant trends, customer insights, and opportunities Partner with Product Development and Design to support new product development and assortment needs Collaborate with E-Commerce and Marketing to ensure product assortment and merchandising strategies are reflected across customer touchpoints Partner with Planning and cross-functional teams on product lifecycle management, including replenishment, markdown, and product exit opportunities Help ensure product information, assortment details, and merchandising updates are accurate and executed on time Prepare merchandising presentations, business recaps, and other materials for team and cross-functional meetings Identify opportunities to improve merchandising processes, reporting, and ways of working What You Bring: 3–5+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or a related function, ideally within jewelry, accessories, fashion, beauty, or another consumer product category with a high SKU count Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel Comfortable working with sales, inventory, margin, and other business performance data Ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations Commercial mindset with curiosity about customers, products, and performance Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment Ability to support Eastern Time Zone business hours
