CR2 is a community-based crisis stabilization program that provides immediate behavioral health support to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Through rapid response, assessment, counseling, safety planning, and care coordination, the team helps individuals and families navigate crises while reducing the need for emergency room visits, psychiatric hospitalization, and law enforcement involvement. The program serves as a critical resource for communities across Northern Virginia, helping people access the support they need when they need it most.
As a Mobile Crisis Coordinator, you'll provide immediate crisis intervention and clinical support in homes, schools, community settings, and other environments where individuals are experiencing behavioral health emergencies. You'll work alongside families, providers, and community partners to assess needs, develop stabilization plans, coordinate ongoing services, and help individuals move safely toward recovery.
What You'll Do
- Provide mobile crisis intervention, assessment, stabilization, and counseling services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
- Collaborate with clients, families, schools, hospitals, providers, and community partners to coordinate services and support recovery.

- Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within agency systems.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination efforts.
- Contribute to shared on-call crisis coverage and provide community-based crisis response as needed.
What You Bring
We're looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another license-eligible clinical field required
- License-eligible as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Virginia required for clinician-level compensation
- QMHP applicants are encouraged to apply
- Minimum one year of experience working with mental health populations preferred
- Demonstrated crisis intervention, problem-solving, decision-making, and adaptability skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Microsoft Office Suite, and other technology platforms
