Show job description

Lead the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the Saudi Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS) compliance framework for our Saudi entities. The role acts as the dedicated local compliance lead and will be designated as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Saudi entities.

Provide practical advice on applicable Saudi e-commerce, retail, and consumer regulatory requirements, partnering with ATI MLRO, Group Risk & Compliance, and specialist functions without duplicating their ownership.

The role may also support AML/CTF and related compliance activities across other GCC markets, subject to applicable local regulatory requirements, necessary approvals, and relevant training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain risk-based AML/CTF/TFS policies, controls, governance documents and regulatory obligations register applicable to the entity and activities.

  • Conduct and update business-wide and product-specific financial crime risk assessments and digital/retail sales channels.

  • Monitor relevant Saudi regulatory changes and translate applicable obligations into an actionable compliance roadmap.

  • Coordinate regulatory interactions, examinations and submissions where formally authorized; maintain effective reporting to senior management and Group Compliance.

  • Exercise independent judgement as MLRO: decide on and file suspicious transaction reports with SAFIU without requiring internal approval, and escalate AML/CTF matters directly to senior management and, where required, the Board.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

  • Strongly preferred: CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or ICA Advanced Certificate / Diploma in Anti Money Laundering.

  • Preferred CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or relevant Saudi AML/CTF professional training.

  • Ideally 6–8 years of relevant AML, financial crime or regulatory compliance experience, including hands-on Saudi regulatory exposure.

  • Demonstrated experience with KYC/CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, investigations and regulatory reporting.

  • Experience in jewellery, precious metals, gemstones, luxury retail or high-value e-commerce transactions strongly preferred.
