Job Description Summary

The MRI Product Sales Specialist is the technical, and commercial expert for the GEHC MRI portfolio across the UK and Ireland. Working in partnership with modality leadership, account managers, applications specialists, service, finance and other specialist teams, the role identifies and develops opportunities, translates customer priorities into differentiated MRI solutions and leads the MRI product sales cycle through to order closure and effective handover.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Customer and market leadership

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing and prospective customers across the UK.

  • Understand customers’ clinical, operational, financial, and strategic priorities and convert them into compelling MRI value propositions.

  • Act as a clinical and technical MRI consultant, engaging credibly with radiographers, radiologists, physicists, service leaders, procurement teams, estates stakeholders and executive decisionmakers.

  • Maintain current knowledge of the UK MRI market, customer pathways, procurement environment, competitor portfolios and relevant technology trends including digital solutions and artificial intelligence.

Opportunity and sales-cycle management

  • Partner with account managers to identify, qualify and prioritize MRI opportunities and grow a healthy, accurately maintained pipeline.

  • Lead the MRI product sales cycle, including discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, reference-site visits, solution design, configuration, quotation and tender response.

  • Develop clear commercial and clinical win strategies for each priority opportunity, with agreed stakeholders

  • Coordinate internal resources to deliver high-quality proposals that meet documented customer requirements and applicable governance standards.

  • Manage customer expectations throughout the sales process and support negotiation, order closure and a disciplined handover to delivery, project and applications teams.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity, forecast, and activity information in the approved CRM and commercial systems.

Product and solution expertise

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the GEHC MRI portfolio, options, clinical applications, workflow capabilities, service propositions, and associated solutions.

  • Present complex information accurately and accessibly, tailoring the message to clinical, technical, commercial, and executive audiences.

  • Create customer-specific configurations and solution proposals

  • Provide field insight into modality, marketing and product teams on customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging market requirements.

  • Support product launches, customer events, congresses, workshops and sales-enablement activity.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification or degree in diagnostic radiography, medical imaging, biomedical engineering, medical physics, life sciences or related healthcare or technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of MRI technology

  • Strong understanding of cross-sectional imaging pathways, clinical workflows, and the priorities of healthcare providers.

  • Ability to build credibility with clinical and technical customers and to communicate complex information clearly.

  • Strong presentation, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders with disciplined follow-through.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Ability and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland

  • Valid driving license.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in capital medical equipment sales, clinical applications, product management or a customer-facing commercial role.

  • Extensive knowledge of MRI technology, physics, safety, clinical applications, and workflow.

  • Experience of NHS and independent sector procurement, tenders, business cases and multi-stakeholder decision processes.

  • Knowledge of MRI competitive offerings and market dynamics.

  • Experience using CRM, quotation, and configuration tools.
