We are looking for a passionate team player who aligns with our values and culture, takes pride in their unique contributions, and can challenge the status quo with disruptive thinking. If this sounds like you, come and join us!

The Opportunity

As we continue to expand our wholesale NBN footprint, we're looking for a commercially driven NBN Acquisition Manager to identify, engage and win new customers across the Australian telecommunications landscape.

This is a high-impact role for a proven business development professional who thrives on opening doors, building strategic partnerships and closing complex deals. You'll be at the forefront of driving new logo acquisition and introducing emerging market entrants, digital brands and service providers to Vocus' wholesale NBN capabilities.

Reporting to the General Manager - Wholesale, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic acquisition plan focused on securing new wholesale NBN customers. Working closely with Product, Pre-Sales, Technology, Marketing and Delivery teams, you'll lead customers through complex sales cycles from opportunity creation through to contract execution and onboarding.

This role is ideal for a hunter who enjoys operating at executive level, influencing key decision makers, and creating new revenue streams within a dynamic and evolving telecommunications market. This role will be ideally based in Melbourne or North Sydney office locations.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Drive acquisition of new wholesale customers by identifying, qualifying and closing new logo opportunities across Retail Service Providers (RSPs), digital brands, infrastructure providers and emerging market entrants.
  • Develop and execute market acquisition strategies that attract non-traditional organisations into the telecommunications sector.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, business leaders and technology stakeholders.
  • Lead consultative sales engagements to uncover customer objectives, growth plans and operational requirements.
  • Position and promote Vocus' wholesale NBN portfolio, demonstrating the commercial and operational benefits of partnering with Vocus.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across Product, Technology, Pre-Sales, Operations and Delivery to develop compelling customer solutions.
  • Manage strategic and complex sales cycles, including solution workshops, commercial negotiations and contract execution.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and market opportunities to identify new acquisition targets.
  • Consistently exceed new business and revenue growth targets through disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of newly acquired customers into onboarding and account management teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support Account Managers in competitive wholesale NBN opportunities within the existing customer base.

What you'll bring to the role

You are a driven business development professional with a passion for building new business and developing strategic customer relationships. You bring strong commercial acumen, a consultative sales approach and a deep understanding of the Australian telecommunications market.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 6+ years' B2B business development or sales experience within telecommunications, technology, wholesale connectivity or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success acquiring and developing new business opportunities in complex sales environments.
  • Experience engaging executive-level stakeholders and influencing commercial outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale telecommunications and NBN markets.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Key Skills

  • Prospecting and pipeline generation
  • Opportunity qualification and discovery
  • Wholesale telecommunications and NBN market expertise
  • Value proposition development and solution selling
  • Commercial negotiation and deal closure
  • Executive stakeholder management
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Presentation and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinking and business planning
