The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve network infrastructure supporting business operations. This part-time, fully remote role is ideal for a technically capable professional who can manage network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and contribute to infrastructure improvements. You will collaborate with IT, security, systems, and business teams to maintain stable and efficient network services.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching, and network performance issues.
- Support secure LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and remote-access environments.
- Implement network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Identify network risks, vulnerabilities, and potential service disruptions.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, documentation, and records.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and systems teams on infrastructure security.
- Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and service recovery activities.
- Recommend solutions that improve network resilience, performance, and scalability.
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of professional network engineering or infrastructure experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network security principles.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless, remote connectivity, and network monitoring.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting, performance analysis, and configuration management.
- Proficiency with appropriate network administration and monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage network incidents and prioritize technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and support infrastructure operations in a remote environment.
