Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

Role Description The Occupational Health & Safety Specialist will support Daily Motivational Quotes in integrating health, safety, and wellness principles into its remote work practices and content operations. This part-time, remote role includes assessing workplace safety risks for a distributed team, developing and updating health and safety policies, and advising on best practices for ergonomic and mental well-being. The specialist will conduct virtual safety training sessions, create guidelines for safe and healthy remote work environments, and collaborate with content creators to ensure wellness-related messaging aligns with recognized occupational health standards. The role also involves monitoring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and recommending improvements to internal processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety management.
• Candidates should possess experience delivering engaging and practical Safety Training in remote or hybrid environments.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex safety concepts into clear, accessible guidance.
• Candidates should possess experience working with remote teams, including familiarity with ergonomic and mental health considerations for distributed workforces.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and recommend effective mitigations.
• Relevant certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, or equivalent) and a degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Environmental Health, or a related field are highly beneficial.
