Role Description The Senior Health & Safety Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining health and safety standards relevant to Privacy Daily’s operations and content production environment. This role involves assessing workplace safety risks for remote and hybrid work settings, advising on ergonomic and occupational health best practices, and creating guidelines that support safe and compliant work processes. The specialist will design and update safety training materials, collaborate with leadership and operations teams to implement health and safety policies, and monitor regulatory changes affecting occupational health and EHS practices. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, documenting procedures, responding to health and safety inquiries, and recommending improvements to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply best practices in remote and digital work environments.
- Strong background in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including risk assessment, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Workplace Safety programs, including hazard identification, incident reporting, and preventive safety measures.
- Proficiency in designing and delivering Safety Training for diverse, distributed teams.
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and occupational regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA or equivalent frameworks).
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity in written guidelines.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications: professional certifications in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or similar) and experience in media, technology, or professional services environments.
