PMO Manager

Role Description This part-time remote PMO Manager role at Centro Cultural de España en Guatemala focuses on overseeing the project portfolio and ensuring alignment with the organization’s cultural and strategic objectives. The PMO Manager will establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and templates, and support project leaders in planning, execution, and monitoring activities. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project intake and prioritization, tracking progress and risks, managing resource allocation across initiatives, and preparing regular status reports and dashboards for leadership. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvement, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and ensuring that projects comply with timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Program Management and Project Management to oversee multiple initiatives and support project teams effectively.
• Experience in Project Portfolio Management to prioritize projects, align them with strategic goals, and manage dependencies and risks.
• Proficiency in Business Process Improvement to analyze workflows, recommend optimizations, and implement standardized procedures.
• Capability in Resource Management to plan and allocate human and material resources across projects efficiently.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a part-time remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in en_US; proficiency in Spanish is highly beneficial.
• Experience working with cultural, educational, or non-profit organizations is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMO certifications) are a plus.
