Principal QA Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a media business looking for a Principal QA Engineer to lead backend platform quality strategy across digital services and cloud infrastructure.

The Role

• Own and drive the end-to-end quality strategy across backend APIs, services, and cloud environments.
• Embed testability into system design through early architectural reviews and contract-driven testing.
• Build and maintain multi-layered automation frameworks and integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and execute load, performance, and resilience testing strategies for high-scale platforms.
• Mentor engineering teams on modern, automation-first practices and effective AI tooling integration.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Proven technical background in QA automation or backend engineering within a shift-left Agile environment.
• Strong experience validating RESTful architectures, API contracts, and event-driven systems.
• Proficiency in Golang or an object-oriented programming language, with cloud testing experience.
• Hands-on expertise building and maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
