Job Title: Product Operations Specialist
Monthly Pay: $4,140 - $5,881 USD per month
Summary:
Working in a project management tool such as Jira and a product analytics platform such as Amplitude, the Product Operations Specialist keeps product operations organized and information dependable. The role sits within the product management team and works under a product operations team lead, supporting consistent decisions and handoffs. You will work with product managers, customer support colleagues, and business operations partners to organize feedback, track readiness, and clarify outstanding questions. This fully remote position offers desk-based work from home in New Jersey, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review incoming product requests from the shared queue, emails, and internal tickets, checking that each submission includes a clear issue, source, and requested outcome.
- Enter and categorize requests in a project management tool such as Jira, linking related items and identifying duplicates before routing them for review.
- Check customer feedback for missing context, separate reported problems from feature suggestions, and ask the submitting colleague for clarification when information is incomplete.
- Maintain product backlog details, assigned owners, status labels, and review dates so product managers can assess priorities using consistent, current information.
- Review usage trends in a product analytics platform such as Amplitude, summarize observable changes, and flag unexplained differences without presenting assumptions as findings.
- Prepare product review summaries covering request themes, open decisions, dependencies, and action owners, giving colleagues a clear basis for discussion and follow-through.
- Track release readiness against agreed business checklists, confirm internal guidance is available, and raise missing approvals or unresolved questions to the responsible product manager.
- Coordinate business user acceptance checks against approved scenarios, capture outcomes, and route unexpected results to the product manager without performing technical troubleshooting.
- Follow up with action owners when updates are overdue, escalate unresolved blockers to the product operations team lead, and communicate revised status to affected colleagues.
- Close completed requests after owner confirmation; quality is judged through accuracy, turnaround, complete notes, dependable follow-up, and clear handoffs across the product workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- About 1-2 years of experience in product operations, product support coordination, or related business operations preferred.
- Understanding of product backlogs, feature requests, release readiness, and the distinction between operational coordination and product prioritization decisions.
- Familiarity with a project management tool such as Jira for request categorization, status updates, ownership tracking, and action follow-up.
- Familiarity with a product analytics platform such as Amplitude and interpreting basic usage measures without overstating what the information shows.
- Ability to compare request details, spot inconsistencies, summarize recurring themes, and maintain useful operational notes for colleagues.
- Clear written and verbal communication for asking focused questions, explaining status, and escalating blockers with relevant context.
- A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace; availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote, desk-based work from home within the stated location.
