Product Owner – Agile / SAFe

About the Role

NISH Tech BV is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join an enterprise environment in Belgium. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience working as a Product Owner within Agile environments, with strong expertise in backlog management, refinement, prioritisation and user story writing. You will work closely with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering and business stakeholders, managing dependencies and supporting the delivery of complex enterprise applications and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog within an Agile environment.
• Refine, prioritise and maintain backlog items according to business requirements.
• Write clear and actionable user stories.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to effective delivery.
• Work within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART).
• Coordinate dependencies across Product Management, Architecture, Engineering and business teams.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support product delivery.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication.
• Translate business needs into prioritised product requirements.
• Support the delivery of complex enterprise applications and integrations.
• Align product priorities with business objectives.
• Facilitate collaboration between business and technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAFe Agile Release Train (ART).
• Strong backlog management and refinement skills.
• Backlog prioritisation and user story writing.
• Dependency management across multiple teams.
• Experience with complex enterprise applications and integrations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of English and Dutch.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Mainframe experience.
• COBOL experience.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Product Owner.

Languages

• English: Required.
• Dutch: Good knowledge required.
