Product Owner Automotive GNSS Products

Join our international product development team and help shape the future of Automotive GNSS products. As Product Owner, you will lead the development of a portfolio of GNSS products, translating product strategy into a prioritized backlog and guiding agile development team toward successful delivery.

You will drive product execution, align stakeholders, and ensure products deliver maximum customer value throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with the Product Manager, Product Architect, Chief Product Owner, and a multidisciplinary engineering team across multiple sites. Our agile teams are given significant autonomy to define their goals and organize their work.

As the Product Owner, you provide direction and make prioritization decisions that enable the team to maximize customer value and deliver on business objectives. You support medium-term planning, provide clarity on priorities and objectives, and help the team make informed trade-offs to deliver on its commitments. Working with engineering, operations, and other stakeholders, you help ensure products are ready for successful industrialization, manufacturing, and market release.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and prioritizing backlog and quarterly plans for Automotive GNSS products to maximize the value of the user stories.
• Planning and negotiating so that team’s commitments can be delivered.
• Communicating early the impact of any changes and deviations.
• Providing leadership and inspiration for the development team of engineers working in multiple sites on product creation and maintenance.
• Defining, communicating, and executing the team’s product vision and development roadmap in close collaboration.
• Coordinating, aligning, and interfacing with Chief Product Owner, Chief Product Architect and other stakeholders.
• Driving product development from early scoping and concepting through productization.
• Autonomously making decisions and guiding execution through prioritized backlog(s) of features, enhancements, and bug fixes according to customer value.
• Driving customer sampling during product evaluation, ensuring early sample availability and managing customer expectations in line with product maturity.
• Owning the backlog taking into account the team’s execution capacity with the purpose of achieving the timeline of the committed development activities.
• Ensuring product maturity at each stage of the Product Life Cycle Process.
• Coordinating production activities with manufacturing partners and the Product Operations Manager, ensuring timely follow-up and alignment.
• Contributing to relevant Scrum meetings and owning product sprints’ review and planning meetings.

• Ownership and coordination of the creation of the product development roadmap based on the agreed product vision, in close collaboration with key stakeholders (Product Strategy, Platform, Product Line management, and Business Unit leadership).
• Solid, customer value-driven execution of the product vision with the agile product development team through product backlog.
• Timely availability of the products with planned functionality, quality, and cost.
• Product development team leadership and motivation.

Technical/Hard Skills

• At least 2 years’ experience as a product owner, product manager or project manager in an agile (scrum) environment.
• Relevant experience in all aspects of development of products, including electronics and embedded software, from product idea to mass production and maintenance.
• Electronics or IT industry working experience, preferably in the semiconductor and GNSS industry.
• Interest and passion to learn about products, industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.

Leadership skills:

• Lateral leadership of an agile product development team

Profile

• Education: Bachelor/Master of Science in relevant field, e.g. Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Certification: Product Owner, Scrum Master or Agile certification is an advantage
