Role Description The Programs & People Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing program design, implementation, and evaluation across MyDreamConnect’s skills training, career readiness, and entrepreneurship initiatives. This role coordinates program timelines, manages stakeholder relationships, and ensures that activities align with the organization’s mission and impact goals. The Programs & People Manager will lead and support team members, oversee recruitment and onboarding of volunteers or staff, conduct performance check-ins, and foster a collaborative, inclusive work culture. Daily tasks include monitoring program metrics, preparing progress reports, managing budgets and resources, facilitating virtual meetings and trainings, and identifying partnerships that strengthen youth empowerment outcomes. The role also involves continuous improvement of operational processes, gathering feedback from participants, and contributing to strategic planning and grant or funding proposals.

Qualifications

  • Program management and coordination skills, including experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education, youth, or community development initiatives.
  • People management and leadership capabilities, such as team supervision, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Organizational and planning skills, including time management, prioritization, documentation, and attention to detail in remote work settings.
  • Experience with partnership development, community outreach, and relationship-building with youth, educators, and local organizations.
  • Familiarity with youth development, employability skills, entrepreneurship training, or related social-impact programs.
  • Comfort with digital tools for remote collaboration (e.g., video conferencing platforms, project management software, shared document tools).
  • Relevant academic background or equivalent experience in fields such as social sciences, education, human resources, nonprofit management, or business.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and corporate social responsibility, especially in underserved or underrepresented communities.
