Project Engineer / Civil Engineer

Role Description The Project Engineer / Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and coordination of civil works related to water production and distribution projects in a part-time, remote capacity. Typical responsibilities include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, analyzing site conditions, and contributing to stormwater and drainage solutions. The role involves assisting with project documentation, technical reports, drawings, and specifications, as well as coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure design consistency and compliance with standards. The engineer will also help monitor project quality, identify risks, and propose practical engineering solutions that align with RWPC’s performance, safety, and sustainability objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to develop and review plans for water-related infrastructure.
• Skills in Stormwater Management and Site Development, including analysis of drainage, grading, and environmental impacts.
• Experience with Quality Control practices in engineering projects, ensuring adherence to codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proficiency with civil engineering design software and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail in technical work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment.
• Prior experience with water, wastewater, or utility infrastructure projects is beneficial.
