Project Finance & Budget Specialist / Coordinator

About the Role

Tireco Consultancy is looking for a Project Finance & Budget Specialist/Coordinator to join our team and work exclusively on-site and remotely with one of Romania's leading renewable energy companies.

You will support the financial and operational coordination of multiple utility-scale solar energy projects by managing budgets, tracking project costs, maintaining reporting tools, and ensuring accurate operational data for management decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, project coordination, reporting, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Management

• Collect and consolidate project budget information

• Monitor project budgets and actual expenditures

• Track budget variances and identify discrepancies

• Maintain budget control files and financial trackers

Project Financial Support

• Update financial tracking spreadsheets and reporting tools

• Track invoices, expenses and project-related costs

• Ensure financial information is complete and up to date

• Support monthly financial closing activities

Reporting

• Prepare periodic management reports

• Consolidate project financial and operational information

• Update dashboards and project status reports

• Produce ad-hoc reports requested by management

Nice to Have

• Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement and Finance teams

• Follow up on financial and operational information across projects

• Coordinate reporting inputs from different departments

• Support planning and internal review meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering

• 2–5 years of experience in project finance, budgeting, controlling, reporting or project coordination

• Excellent Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, dashboards)

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• High attention to detail

• Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in renewable energy, construction or infrastructure projects

• Experience working with project budgets

• Knowledge of ERP systems

• Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools

• Familiarity with project management software

Languages

• Romanian – Fluent

• English – Professional working proficiency

• Turkish is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
