Newport | Hybrid Working | Residential Conveyancing with Light Commercial Property

Are you a Residential Property Solicitor looking for a new opportunity with a varied caseload and the chance to broaden your experience into commercial property?

An established law firm in Newport is looking to recruit a Residential Property Solicitor to join its team, handling a predominantly residential conveyancing caseload alongside some light commercial property work.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys traditional conveyancing and would welcome the opportunity to work on a variety of property transactions, including smaller commercial matters such as shop purchases, sales and leases.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, while also assisting with a range of smaller commercial property matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing residential sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions.

• Handling remortgages, transfers of equity and other residential property matters.

• Advising clients throughout the conveyancing process and maintaining excellent client relationships.

• Undertaking light commercial property work, including transactions involving small shops and other local business premises.

• Assisting with commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals where required.

• Ensuring files are managed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualified Solicitor with experience in residential conveyancing.

• Confident managing a residential property caseload independently.

• Commercial property experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Strong communication and client care skills.

• Organised, commercially aware and committed to delivering a high-quality service.
