RED HAT / RHEL 7 - NV1 Developer / Engineer - REMOTE!!

IT IS ABSOLUTLEY ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HOLD A CURRENT NV1 OR ABOVE FOR THIS INITIAL 12 MONTH CONTRACT

You will maintain a RHEL 7 environment that spans virtual datacenters, physical hosts, residual VMware and OpenStack, including Satellite-driven patching and Smart Management. The environment is change-controlled and high-critical.

Responsibilities

• You will maintain a RHEL 7 environment that spans virtual datacenters, physical hosts, residual VMware and OpenStack, including Satellite-driven patching and Smart Management.
• The environment is change-controlled and high-critical.
• Run patch and release management for Red Hat Identity Management.
• Recommend ways to maintain and improve the currency and security of IdM.
• Support IdM upgrades and integration requirements.
• Carry out maintenance, system tuning and health checks.

Qualifications

• IT IS ABSOLUTLEY ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HOLD A CURRENT NV1 OR ABOVE FOR THIS INITIAL 12 MONTH CONTRACT
• 5+ years of enterprise RHEL operations at scale.
• Satellite and Smart Management experience (mandatory).
• Comfort working in change-controlled, high-critical environments.

Required Skills

• Create new RHEL standard operating environments and consolidate existing ones, integrating them with Satellite and Ansible.
• Recommend the schedule for RHEL z-releases and patches, then package and apply the agreed updates.
• Manage and upgrade the Satellite platform, including its Ansible integration.
• Migrate Linux hosts that are not yet on RHEL 8 or 9 to supported RHEL standard operating environments.
• Identity Management (IdM)
• Run patch and release management for Red Hat Identity Management.
• Recommend ways to maintain and improve the currency and security of IdM.
• Support IdM upgrades and integration requirements.
• Carry out maintenance, system tuning and health checks.
