Role Description
The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-train restaurant operations and guest dining experiences. This position coordinates menus, service standards, and staffing plans in close collaboration with culinary and service teams, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverage offerings. Day-to-day tasks include managing reservations and seating plans, monitoring service performance, and providing guidance to team members to uphold brand standards. The Restaurant Manager analyzes guest feedback, supports training and development initiatives, and adjusts service processes to optimize customer satisfaction. While remote, the role requires regular communication with on-board leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational plans with journey schedules and overall guest experience goals.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Hotel Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in restaurant or F&B operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Experience in a luxury hotel, fine-dining restaurant, resort, cruise, private club or premium hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Previous experience with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards or audits is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest experience.
- Good knowledge of food, wine and beverage service.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, HACCP and allergen management.
- Strong English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office and/or relevant F&B systems.
