The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Revenue Officer to support revenue administration, revenue reconciliation, billing oversight, revenue reporting, contract monitoring, and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will ensure revenue transactions are complete, accurate, timely, and properly documented while identifying revenue discrepancies, supporting revenue recognition processes, monitoring billing performance, and providing reliable information to Finance and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily and periodic revenue transactions across assigned business units, products, services, or customer accounts.
- Review revenue data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and appropriate classification.
- Reconcile billed revenue to accounting records, operational systems, and supporting documentation.
- Investigate differences between operational activity, billing records, and recorded revenue.
- Monitor revenue generated from contracts, subscriptions, services, projects, transactions, or other commercial activities.
- Review customer contracts, pricing schedules, service agreements, and commercial terms affecting revenue.
- Ensure revenue transactions are processed in accordance with approved contractual terms.
- Monitor billing schedules, milestones, service delivery, and other revenue triggers.
- Coordinate with Billing and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure revenue is invoiced accurately and on time.
- Identify unbilled revenue and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure appropriate billing action.
- Review invoices for pricing, quantities, discounts, taxes, contractual terms, and revenue-related accuracy.
- Monitor credit notes, refunds, cancellations, rebates, discounts, and other adjustments affecting revenue.
- Investigate unusual revenue movements, unexpected changes, duplicate transactions, and potential revenue leakage.
- Analyze revenue trends and identify recurring issues affecting revenue completeness or accuracy.
- Prepare regular revenue reports for Finance, Commercial, Operations, and management teams.
- Prepare revenue reconciliations and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close.
- Support monthly revenue recognition and financial-close activities.
- Coordinate with Accounting to ensure revenue transactions are appropriately recorded in the general ledger.
- Support the review of revenue recognition treatment in accordance with applicable accounting policies.
- Identify transactions requiring deferral, accrual, adjustment, or further accounting review.
- Maintain revenue schedules for recurring, deferred, accrued, milestone-based, or usage-based revenue where applicable.
- Track contract performance and identify revenue-related changes arising from amendments, renewals, cancellations, or scope changes.
- Coordinate with Commercial and Sales teams to understand new contracts, pricing changes, renewals, and customer arrangements.
- Monitor revenue performance against budgets, forecasts, targets, and prior periods.
- Prepare revenue variance analysis and investigate material deviations.
- Support FP&A with revenue forecasts, assumptions, and business-performance information.
- Analyze revenue by customer, product, service, contract, geography, channel, or business unit where applicable.
- Monitor average revenue, transaction volumes, customer contribution, pricing performance, and other relevant revenue indicators.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and risks affecting future revenue performance.
- Support revenue forecasting using historical results, contractual commitments, pipeline information, operational volumes, and business assumptions.
- Assist with revenue budgeting and annual financial-planning activities.
- Validate revenue-related assumptions used in budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor revenue leakage and identify opportunities to improve revenue capture.
- Investigate missed billings, incorrect pricing, unbilled services, unauthorized discounts, and other potential revenue losses.
- Work with Operations to verify service delivery, transaction volumes, usage data, or project milestones supporting revenue.
- Coordinate with Data and Technology teams to resolve revenue-data quality and system-integration issues.
- Maintain accurate revenue master data, pricing information, customer classifications, and relevant system configurations.
- Support implementation and testing of revenue-related system changes, billing rules, pricing structures, and reporting enhancements.
- Maintain complete documentation for revenue reconciliations, adjustments, approvals, and supporting evidence.
- Ensure revenue processes comply with internal financial policies, accounting requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing revenue schedules, reconciliations, contracts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
- Respond to audit queries relating to revenue transactions, recognition, billing, and reconciliations.
- Monitor revenue-related controls and identify weaknesses or process gaps.
- Ensure appropriate approvals and segregation of duties are maintained for revenue adjustments and exceptional transactions.
- Prepare revenue dashboards and management reports covering performance, trends, exceptions, and risks.
- Maintain revenue reporting calendars and ensure reports are delivered accurately and on time.
- Identify opportunities to automate revenue reconciliations, reporting, data validation, and exception monitoring.
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives that improve revenue accuracy, reduce leakage, accelerate billing, and strengthen financial controls.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in revenue operations, revenue accounting, billing, accounts receivable, financial analysis, commercial finance, or finance operations, preferably within a commercial, technology, professional-services, subscription, retail, hospitality, logistics, or service-based organization.
