Role Name: Sales Director – Manufacturing
Location: London, UK (within commuting distance of London)
Type: Hybrid, Ideally 2 days a week in our London office. Remote is fine as well.
Reports to: CRO
Compensation: Generous base + uncapped commission on new business
Role Overview
We are expanding our ServiceNow practice, and we need a senior seller who knows the manufacturing sector to build on our early successes. The focus is the front office and service side of manufacturers: CRM, Sales and Order Management, CPQ, customer service, field service and dealer networks, delivered as AI-led transformation on the ServiceNow platform.
Manufacturing is an early-stage vertical for us, and we are open about that. You will have the backing of our leadership team, pre-sales and solution architects, and our ServiceNow CRM delivery team, along with close alignment with ServiceNow’s account executives. Your input will shape the offer, the target accounts and the team that grows around it. This is a chance to build a vertical, not inherit a patch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the manufacturing go-to-market for our ServiceNow practice across the UK, Ireland and Europe, from target account list to closed deal.
- Open new logos with manufacturers in sectors such as industrial equipment, automotive, aerospace, medical devices and consumer goods.
- Run consultative sales cycles with commercial and service leaders: CROs, RevOps leaders, CIOs, Heads of Service Operations and Heads of Field Service.
- Shape ServiceNow solutions around front-office and service priorities: CRM and Sales and Order Management, CPQ, Customer Service Management (CSM), Field Service Management (FSM), and dealer and partner network management.
- Build the ServiceNow alliance relationship, including joint account planning and co-selling with ServiceNow's manufacturing sales teams.
- Work with our solution architects and delivery leads on proposals, statements of work, pricing and commercial negotiation.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience selling IT services, consulting or enterprise software into manufacturing. Experienced sellers with 15+ years are very welcome.
- A track record of closing new-logo deals with manufacturers in the UK, Ireland or continental Europe, with deal sizes and outcomes you can talk through.
- Experience selling CRM, customer service or field service platforms, for example ServiceNow CSM and FSM, Salesforce Sales, Service and Field Service, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or SAP Sales and Service Cloud.
- Consultative selling to CROs, RevOps leaders, CIOs, Heads of Service Operations and Heads of Field Service, across complex sales cycles.
- A good understanding of the issues commercial and service operations leaders care about: quote and order-to-cash, after-sales service, warranty and returns, spare parts and installed base.
- Experience working with dealer, distributor and channel partner networks, and an appreciation of how manufacturers sell and service through them, and where those relationships break down.
- Knowledge of the challenges field service leaders face, including scheduling and dispatch, technician productivity, service contracts and SLAs, and first-time fix rates.
- A point of view on the commercial pressures manufacturers face, such as servitisation, recurring service revenue and customer experience.
Nice to have
- Co-selling with a platform vendor's sales team as a partner, ideally ServiceNow.
- Understanding of how CRM and service platforms connect to ERP (such as SAP or Oracle), product data and dealer portals.
- An existing network among manufacturing commercial, service and IT leaders in the UK and Europe.
- Experience building a new vertical or practice from an early stage.
- Exposure to shop floor, OT, IoT or connected-product solutions, which we expect to grow into over time.
- A second European language, such as German, French or Dutch.
Impactron Benefits
Impactron was founded by entrepreneurs who have built and scaled several businesses. You will work directly with the founders and leadership team, with real influence over how the manufacturing practice is built.
- Good base salary with uncapped commission on new business.
- Flexible hybrid working, with at least 2 days a week in our London office.
