This is an opportunity to shape the company’s next phase of commercial growth, develop its sales team and build strong relationships with clients and partners across international markets.

If you combine a strong track record in B2B sales with a hands-on leadership style and enjoy turning ambitious growth plans into results, we would love to hear from you.

Location: Athens

Reports to: CRO

Role Purpose

The Sales Manager will play a key role in strengthening the company’s commercial capabilities, accelerating revenue growth and bringing greater structure, consistency and scalability to the sales function. A commercially strong professional who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to sales and is comfortable operating within a growing, entrepreneurial environment.

The role combines business development, sales leadership and commercial execution. The successful candidate will initially work alongside the CRO gaining a deep understanding of the business, customers, partnerships and existing sales approach, while progressively taking greater ownership of day-to-day sales management and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Business Development

  • Lead revenue growth by identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across relevant markets and customer segments.
  • Actively manage strategic prospects and opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation and closing.
  • Grow and strengthen relationships with key clients, partners and commercial stakeholders.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, partnerships and routes to market, and propose a plan to pursue them.
  • Work closely with the CRO on key commercial negotiations and strategic accounts.
  • Monitor market developments, customer needs and competitor activity, and create actionable plans based on these insights.

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Work closely with the existing Sales Team, providing day-to-day guidance, direction and commercial support.
  • Coach team members on prospecting, opportunity development, client conversations, negotiation and closing.
  • Support the development of clear individual objectives, priorities and accountability within the team.
  • Help establish a strong performance-driven sales culture based on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Identify capability gaps and development needs within the sales function and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the sales function, working closely with the CRO during the transition.

Sales Process & Performance Management

  • Bring greater structure and consistency to the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification through pipeline management, conversion and account development.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM and maintain accurate visibility of sales activities, opportunities and forecasts.
  • Establish and monitor meaningful sales KPIs and performance indicators.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and ensure appropriate follow-up and prioritisation of commercial opportunities.
  • Analyse sales performance and conversion data to identify gaps, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Support the development of reliable sales forecasting and revenue planning.

Commercial Strategy & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Translate the company’s growth objectives into clear sales priorities and actionable commercial plans.
  • Lead and execute commercial initiatives informed by market and customer insights, supporting commercial decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between customer needs and the company’s offering.
  • Contribute practical insights and sales data to the ongoing evolution of the company’s commercial model and organization.
  • Act as a key commercial stakeholder as the company further develops and scales its sales organization.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years solid experience in B2B sales, business development or commercial roles, ideally within a technology, SaaS, travel-tech, tourism or other fast-growing business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating new business and managing the full sales cycle.
  • Proven experience in leading, coaching and developing a sales team, with clear ownership of team performance and accountability.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, CRM discipline and sales KPIs.

  • Strong commercial judgement, professional presence and confidence in engaging with senior decision-makers, clients and strategic partners.
  • Data-driven and analytical approach to sales performance and decision-making.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Maturity, ownership, sound judgement and the ability to bring structure to a growing commercial function while working effectively with the CRO and other key stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English; additional languages would be considered an advantage.

What Will Make Someone Successful in This Role

The successful candidate will be someone who can operate comfortably between strategy and execution, someone who is equally willing to discuss the commercial direction of the business with the founders and personally engage with customers and opportunities when needed.

They will bring structure without bureaucracy, challenge existing ways of working constructively, support and develop the existing team, and progressively build the foundations of a more predictable and scalable sales function.
