About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical & Integration Consultant to contribute to the company's digitalization journey.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing SAP solutions, designing and implementing integrations between SAP and external systems, and supporting the connection between shop-floor operations and enterprise applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT and Automation, helping optimize production processes, improve system connectivity and enable real-time business insights across our client international operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience with solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain SAP solutions using ABAP.
• Develop and implement integrations between SAP and external systems.
• Support the digitalization of production processes and the connection between shop-floor operations and enterprise systems.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, IT and Automation teams to ensure effective system integration.
• Participate in SAP implementation projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Identify and resolve technical and functional issues.
• Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across SAP systems and business processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in SAP technical environments.
• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP and AMDP enhancements (BAdIs/Exits).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
• Experience developing and implementing integrations using APIs, including OData, REST and SOAP.
• Familiarity with IDocs, RFCs, EDI and other integration technologies.
• Knowledge of SAP logistics modules, particularly PP, MM, WM and QM.
• Experience participating in full-cycle SAP implementations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with different stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience integrating SAP with manufacturing, production or shop-floor systems.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Experience working in international and multicultural environments.

Work Conditions

• Hybrid working model in Portugal.
• Occasional international travel may be required.
