Grow Sherweb's security revenue by helping MSP partners across the UK and Ireland build profitable, repeatable security and compliance practices.
The opportunity
Sherweb is looking for a commercially minded security and compliance specialist to lead and develop our partner security program across the UK and Ireland. The primary purpose of the role is to grow Sherweb's overall security revenue. You will achieve this by helping MSP owners, commercial leaders and technical teams build capability, create clear customer propositions, launch managed and professional services, increase recurring revenue and develop stronger long-term customer relationships.
Microsoft security and compliance solutions will be the primary focus, representing approximately 70% of the role, with around 30% focused on complementary non-Microsoft vendors and services. You will work closely with Sherweb's Security Technical Specialist, combining commercial practice development and program leadership with deeper technical enablement and solution support.
What you will do
- Own, deliver and continually improve Sherweb's partner security and compliance program across the UK and Ireland, with clear accountability for security revenue growth.
- Develop and execute partner growth plans that translate security capability, service activation and customer opportunity into measurable revenue.
- Work with MSP leaders to assess their current security and compliance capability, identify gaps and create practical development plans.
- Help partners build profitable and repeatable security practices, including assessments, professional services, managed services, compliance services and recurring customer offers.
- Translate Microsoft security and compliance opportunities into clear partner propositions, with particular focus on Microsoft Defender, Entra, Purview, Sentinel, Intune and Security Copilot.
- Support complementary non-Microsoft security vendors and services where they strengthen the partner proposition or address customer requirements.
- Work alongside with our SME(Subject matter expert) team on partner workshops, technical discovery, solution positioning and customer opportunities, bringing together commercial and technical expertise.
- Guide selected partners through readiness, capability development, offer creation, customer activation and pipeline progression.
- Help partners understand Microsoft designations, specialisations, incentives, assessments and funding opportunities relevant to security and compliance.
- Create scalable playbooks, workshop content, discovery tools, campaign concepts, sales guidance and partner success stories.
- Collaborate with Partner Success, Sales, Marketing, Microsoft, security vendors and wider Sherweb specialists to drive coordinated partner outcomes.
- Build and manage a measurable security pipeline across participating partners, supporting opportunities from initial identification through activation and revenue.
- Track security revenue, pipeline, partner progression, capability growth, service activation and commercial results, using insight to focus activity and improve the program.
What we are looking for
- Strong experience in cyber security, compliance, Microsoft solution consulting, technical pre-sales, partner enablement, program delivery or MSP practice development.
- A solid technical understanding of modern security and compliance, with the credibility to engage technical stakeholders and the judgement to involve deeper specialists when required.
- Practical knowledge of the Microsoft security and compliance ecosystem, including identity, endpoint, email and collaboration security, data protection, cloud security, SIEM/XDR and security operations.
- Understanding of how non-Microsoft security solutions can complement Microsoft within an MSP service stack.
- Commercial understanding of the MSP model, recurring revenue, professional services, managed services, customer lifecycle and practice profitability.
- Confidence engaging MSP owners, commercial leaders, sales teams and technical teams, both in person and online.
- Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, content creation, organisation and follow-through skills.
- Comfort working across multiple partners, priorities and vendors in a fast-moving regional role.
- Relevant Microsoft security and compliance certifications, or a clear commitment to achieve agreed role-based certifications after joining.
How the role works
| Geographic scope | MSP partners across the UK and Ireland |
| Portfolio focus | Approximately 70% Microsoft security and compliance; 30% complementary non-Microsoft solutions |
| Core partnership | Works alongside the Security, Azure and AI Technical Specialist, combining commercial program leadership with technical depth |
| Primary audiences | MSP owners, commercial leaders, sales teams, security leads and technical teams |
| Primary measure of success | Growth in Sherweb security revenue, supported by measurable pipeline, active partners and repeatable partner services |
What success looks like
Success in this role is measured first and foremost by growth in Sherweb's overall security revenue. That growth will be delivered through the strands set out in this role: increasing the number of active security partners, improving partner capability, creating repeatable and profitable security and compliance services, activating customer opportunities, building pipeline and expanding adoption across Microsoft and complementary security solutions. Partners should progress from product-led conversations to sustainable practices that generate measurable recurring and project revenue. Sherweb should operate a structured regional program that scales partner enablement while making effective use of both commercial and technical specialist expertise.
Why join Sherweb
This is an opportunity to shape how MSPs across the UK and Ireland build security and compliance capability at a time when customer risk, regulation and technology are increasingly connected. You will have the scope to influence partner strategy, create practical programs and help partners turn capability into sustainable growth.
