Senior Accounts Executive

Role Description The Owner role at UN City Copenhagen is a part-time, remote position focused on strategic oversight and governance of both campuses. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing operational reports, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing guidance on long-term planning and resource allocation. The role involves coordinating with senior leadership from multiple UN agencies, assessing risks, and ensuring alignment with UN values and international standards. The Owner will participate in virtual meetings, approve major initiatives, and support decisions related to infrastructure, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. This position requires effective remote collaboration, clear communication, and a commitment to supporting inclusive, safe, and efficient work environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in organizational leadership, governance, or executive oversight, ideally within international, public sector, or nonprofit environments.
• Background in strategic planning, operations management, or facilities management, with the ability to interpret performance data and operational reports.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including collaboration with diverse, multicultural teams across time zones.
• Knowledge of humanitarian, development, or UN-related work, including familiarity with sustainability, risk management, and compliance practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a part-time, remote capacity, using digital collaboration tools and maintaining high levels of accountability and follow-through.
• Relevant academic background (e.g., public administration, international relations, business, management, or related fields) or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices in organizational decision-making.
