Senior Acquiring Project Manager (f/m/x)

We are looking for an experienced Acquiring Project Manager to join our team and lead strategic initiatives in the payments and card acquiring domain. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of acquiring-related projects, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, payment processors, merchants, technology teams, and external partners. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of payment solutions and operational improvements. The role requires a hybrid work arrangement (3 days per week from the office). Your tasks

• Leading the delivery of acquiring and payment processing projects from initiation through implementation and post-go-live support
• Coordinating cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, compliance, and external vendors
• Managing project scope, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets
• Driving merchant onboarding and integration initiatives to enhance payment acceptance
• Supporting the implementation and optimization of card payment acceptance solutions
• Collaborating with payment processors, acquirers, issuers, schemes, and third-party providers to ensure seamless operations
• Facilitating requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment activities to meet project objectives
• Ensuring compliance with payment industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout project lifecycles
• Preparing project status reports and presenting progress to senior stakeholders for informed decision-making
• Managing stakeholders across business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and timely decision-making on project matters
• Supporting process improvement initiatives within acquiring operations and payment services to enhance efficiency
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience within financial services, payments, banking, fintech, or card acquiring environments
• Proven experience delivering acquiring, merchant services, payment acceptance, or card processing projects
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including merchant acquiring and card transaction lifecycles
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously in complex environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies and their application in project management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and partners
• Experience working in international and complex organizational environments, demonstrating adaptability and cultural awareness
• Very good communication skills both in Polish and English
• Residency in Poland
  
  

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Visa and Mastercard acquiring processes and their implications on project delivery
• Experience with POS, e-commerce, tokenization, digital wallets, or payment gateway solutions
• Understanding of PCI-DSS and payment industry regulations to ensure compliance in project execution
• PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum Master, or similar project management certifications to enhance project delivery capabilities
